Leather Political ED IV

Hosted by Yael Horowitz, Event #4

Why leather political education?

This space, for leather political education, is a proposal to ask the following questions together: What values, ethics, and politics are informed by and crucial to leather? How do these things inform our day to day actions and habits? How do we hold ourselves and each other accountable to the ideals of leather as a political identity and position in the face of facism? Do we want to do that?

We will use texts and materials to discuss and learn together. In a time of ever-increasing and ever-present totalitarianism, the political and ethical lessons that leather can teach us are crucial, and we need each other to tease them out, massage them, internalize them, and work through them.

The ideal of this space is that it will be co-created by who shows up. The space is an offering and a proposal, it is not pre-set or dictated.
